Bioshock and Foresight

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

So Bioshock is still fun. I’m in world 5-7 (I think, that’s all that’s listed in the metro system at the moment. It could open up bigger of course), so I think I’m getting close to beating it. The Big Daddies are still hard but with more and more power ups the game is getting [...]

I a Dev!

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

I’m a developer on the Foresight linux project! This is NOTHING like being a dev on Debian or Ubuntu. The project is small and I just had to request it and got it. You can see Kelsin listed: http://www.rpath.org/rbuilder/project/foresight/members
This means I have access to commit to the main repositories. Right now I’m just packaging packages [...]

I found a lot of the questions hilarious

Foresight Linux

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

So in the past three nights I’ve installed linux three times on my desktop. My laptop’s hard drive died and I needed to get a linux system up to date. I have a slightly broken version of Ubuntu on my desktop (tons of beryl add on packages cluttering up stuff) so I decided to try [...]

Laptop HD Died

Monday, August 27th, 2007

My Laptop’s hard drive died on me. It was beeping at me the other day and I had no idea what it was. Turned out it was my hard drive. Since then it hasn’t been able to boot. I’m hoping it’s some booting problem and rewriting the MBR later with a live cd will fix [...]

I thought I liked Vista

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Until I was playing WoW and I started getting GRAPHICAL GLITCHES. I will not stand for my games to run better in Linux then they do on the operating system they were meant for. It’s a combination of NVidia’s and Microsofts fault but screw that. I want Windows for games and music, that’s it. Since [...]

Apartment and Blender

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

First of all here are some pics of our apartment in Brookline!

Also I wanted to touch on Blender for a second. The program is absolutely amazing. Even so, people keep complaining about the interface. Luckily in 2.5 they are rewriting the main window API so that custom key mappings and other such features will be [...]

Initial Vista Impressions

Friday, March 16th, 2007

I like it. It won’t overtake Linux in my book, but I enjoy using it. A lot more than XP. XP felt like a ugly skin on top of 98 and 2000. I didn’t feel like anything was changed under the hood (Of course this can’t be confirmed cause we can’t see the SOURCE). A [...]

300, Wii and IE7

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

300 was amazing. Of course it wasn’t entirely accurate (not that I would know) but it was great. After seeing Rome the past couple of weeks (HBO Show) it was a very cool movie to watch. Incredible visuals and incredible fights. Very epic
Also, just a thought about the Wii… I hope soon game [...]
