Also I wanted to touch on Blender for a second. The program is absolutely amazing. Even so, people keep complaining about the interface. Luckily in 2.5 they are rewriting the main window API so that custom key mappings and other such features will be added. Even so I’m very annoyed that people make such a big deal out of it. I LOVE blender’s interface. It’s annoying to see such a good program get mainstream attention and the one biggest complaint people have about it is “Why isn’t the interface more like 3dsMax or Maya”. Give me a break. It’s not 3dsMax and Maya. While I agree with some complaints (mainly not having key bindings but customizable which is being fixed) I do feel like yelling at people. It’s not Maya, it’s not 3dsMax, it’s blender. The interface is amazing and I love it. Granted I’m not someone that works on Maya all day, I’m just a casual user that has used many media programs and I can’t get over how cool Blender’s interface is. I’ve also casually used 3dsMax and Maya and I have to say that I HATE their interfaces. If blender moved in that direction I would be extremely disappointed.
