Wii and Excite Truck
KelsinWe have our Nintendo Wii (Got it opening night) and have bought 7 games for it now (not including the included Wii Sports):
- Zelda
- Trauma Center: Second Opinion
- Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam
- Rayman: Raving Rabbits
- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
- Red Steel
- Excite Truck
Our Wii was unfortunately struck with the 110213 bug, fortunately it’s simple and easy to fix. Nintendo took my credit card number and shipped me a new Wii. I just pack ours in the box the new one came in and ship it off when I get it and I don’t get charged a penny. The bad part? We lose our saved games.
Brand new Wii’s need two updates. The first is a WiiConect internet update and the 2nd allows game saves and VC games to be saved to SD card and transfered to other Wii’s. VC games still can only be played on the Wii they were bought on, but game saves can be transfered. This means that our broken Wii was still encoding game saves with an encryption code so that the save files can only be played on the Wii they were saved on. I didn’t lose much. I lost 2 hours of Red Steel… oh noes! Caitlin lost a completely beaten game of Trauma Center and her 8 hours into Zelda. We both lost our Rayman game but there are save files online for 100% of story mode which is what we accomplished. That could be done again rather quickly as well.
Anyway, that’s all settled now (except me convincing Caitlin to start Zelda again). Excite truck is amazing. I have all of the courses in Excite and Super Excite mode beaten with S ranks (just mirrored left). The game is amazing and I can play it with my own music loaded from an SD card. I can’t wait for more games to include that feature. Playing this makes me positive that I will buy Wave Race when it comes out for VC. I probably will set up the 64 before this and play it anyway, probably pick up the gamecube wave race as well just for giggles.
Anyway bed time.
