I’ve also been going to the Western Mass Go Club every week for 3 weeks now. I love it. It takes place Monday nights from 7 to 11 at Amherst Coffee in downtown Amherst. The Coffee shop is very nice but to be honest I feel bad because I havn’t bought anything there yet. Hopefully I will soon, but it is slightly expensive and I don’t like coffee.

I was worried about everyone being either old or very good. Fortunately that’s not true. There are about 5 people there all my level. I play one or two stone handicap games every week with no problem. I win some, I lose some, I hopefully improve. The president and other older members that are good are incredibly good. So not only do I get very good games for me, I also get to watch some incredible games. Most of them talk about the games and review them after so I get a ton of good material as well as being very entertained between games that I play.

All in all it’s a great time and I’m very happy I finally started to go!
