Ayashi is installing WoW on her new Dell 9300 Inspiron laptop. I’m incredibly jealous. The thing has a freaking 6800 Geforce in it! It’s going play WoW a shitload better then we ever dreamed we’d be doing. I also looked up how the thing responds to linux (not that there is a chance in hell she’s letting me touch it!) and it works GREAT! There are six reviews of installations over at Linux-On-Laptops (one in French) and out of all of them the Ubuntu install was the best! It autodetected a ton of stuff and provided an easy time with the rest! I’m VERY excited to try out the live cd on this machine at some point when Ayashi isn’t looking.

Going to try and get some financial aid money to get my own soon, or just suck it up and hope her Dad can find me a deal like hers and shell out the money for it. We’ll see… it would help grad school a lot to have a nice dual-boot machine running
